About
Founder & Principal Designer
Tessa Kofford is the founder and principal designer of Tessa Kofford Interiors, a Salt Lake City-based residential design studio creating homes that feel collected, considered, and deeply personal.
Her work is rooted in a love of historic architecture, natural materials, craftsmanship, and the unexpected. She believes the most compelling interiors aren't overly polished or tied to a single style—they're layered over time, mixing old and new, refined and relaxed, with plenty of room for personality.
Tessa approaches each project by first understanding the people who live there: how they move through their home, what they love, what they've collected, and what they want their everyday life to feel like. From there, she brings together thoughtful space planning, custom details, vintage and antique pieces, color, pattern, and enduring materials to create spaces that feel both beautiful and lived-in.
Her design process is collaborative and highly considered, with an emphasis on creating homes that feel inevitable rather than decorated—spaces where every detail has a reason to be there, but nothing feels too precious.
Based in Salt Lake City, Tessa works with clients locally and across the country on full-service residential projects, renovations, and furnishing projects.
